Blue October
Blue October is a Texas indie rock band originally from Houston. The Blue October group has developed a
rather large following all over the world. The band was dropped by Universal Records after the release of
Consent to Treament in 2000 and re-signed by the same label in 2003. Ironically
the band's third album Histroy for sale
which was re-released on Universal it is largely a response to the control
the label place on the gorup during the Consent to Treamtment production process.
The Histroy for sale single "Calling You", featured on the American Wedding
movie soundtrack, was the large group's largest mainstream seccess untill
their 2006 single "Hate Me" debuted on VH1, later making a splash at #13 on VH1's user-controller video countdown.
