Motion city Soundtrack is a rock brand music in the world, it was formed in 1999 in Minneapolis with the members Justin Pierre, Matthew Taylor, Jesse Johnson, Joshua Cain, Tony Thaxton. Motion city Soundtrack band consists of Vocals, Guitars, Piano, Keyboards, Backing vocals, Drums, Percussion. They have released their albums, singles and Compilations.
Their first album was "Promenade/Carolina 7" which was released in 1999, then their next release was Back to the Beat E.P, Kids for America in 2000. In 2002 they are back with I Am the Movie it was quickly picked up in Epitaph Records for nationalwide release at third release and it's success was surprising to them they said that they "wrote the song in free hours and it almost didn't even make it onto their debut". In 2003 their release was "Shatzi Split E.P", Limbeck Split E.P. in 2004 which is an indie rock band hailing from California(Orange Country) it was a finalist in national exposure in U.S though it lost to Barlowgirl, in the same year they released Matchbook Romance Split E.P. And their new release is "Commit This to Memory" in 2005 june 7th it is the sophomore album.
Their Single are "The Future Freaks Me Out" in 2003, in same year My Favourate Accident which was an dramatic viedo. In 2005 "Every Thing is Alright", their new release in 2006 is "Hold Me Down".
Compilations are started from 2002 in this year they have released only one that is The Comerstone Stone Player #33, then in 2003 they have released about seven Compilations those are Chain Reaction, Doghouse Spring/Summer Sampler, Loud Like Enemies Strange, Punk-o-rama Volume 8, Vans off the Wall Volume VI, Warped Tour Compilation, In Hounour: A Compilation to Beat Cancer, in 2004 their three releases are Epitaph Sampler, Punk-O-Rama Volume 9, Warped Tour Compilation. Again in 2005 they have released about five they are Atticus: Dragging the Lake, Vol. 3, ¡Policia! A Tribute to The Police, Punk-O-Rama Volume 10, Punk Goes '80s, Warped Tour Compilation.
