Underoath
Underoath is a Rockband from Tampa in Florida formed in 1999 with the former members Dallas Taylor - Vocals (Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, The New Tragic), Samm Shuffler - Guitar, Corey Steger - Guitar, Kyle Kirtz - Vocals, Octavio Fernandez - Guitar (Anam Cara), billy - Bass with Underoath bands and the present members of it are Spencer Chamberlain - vocals (Former This Runs Through), Aaron Gillespie - drums, vocals (Former The Almost), Timothy McTague - guitar, Grant Brandell - bass, Christopher Dudley - keyboards, James Smith (guitarist) - guitar with respective their bands in the trope.
Their first album eas released in 1999 by name "Act of Depression" which take Hold Records, the albums featured songs with lengths of six or seven minutes, sometimes longer. Prior to the release of Cries of the Past, keyboardist Chris Dudley joined the band. In 2000 "Cries of the Past" showcased the band's sound. "The Changing of Times" Released on February 26, 2002, the album produced one single, "When the Sun Sleeps." Long-time fans of the band criticized them of losing their touch with The Changing of Times, as it seemed to fall back into the Hardcore genre. Again in 2004 "They're Only Chasing Safety" the album has outsold Underoath's previous three albums put together. The sound of this album is completely different from other albums. Then in 2005 it was released with special edition with four rare songs, new art work and DVD about two hours worth. The band was asked to participate on the inaugural Taste of Chaos tour. Touring alongside the Used, My Chemical Romance, Killswitch Engage, Senses Fail and a Static Lullaby, the band made its name well-known. Shortly after the tour, the band embarked on its first headlining tour with the Chariot, Fear Before the March of Flames and These Arms Are Snakes. The band premiered two brand-new songs during the length of the tour. They also played several dates on Warped Tour. They declined to play the entire tour because they wanted to take time to record new songs. And their new release in 2006 was "Define the Great Line" which is going to be released in the month of June.
Their Videography from The Changing of Times are "When the Sun Sleeps" in 2002, and from They're Only Chasing Saftey there are two releases they are "Reinventing Your Exit" in 2004, "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door" in 2005 released in mid 2004, climbed to #2 on Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and marked Underoath first charting album in the U.S. Top 200, hitting #135 and spawning the single "Reinventing Your Exit".
